The Japan Foundation New York continues its Japanese language and culture courses in cooperation with The Nippon Club. Developing an original Japanese language and culture class called JF Japanese Language Course, the Japan Foundation encourages you to register now for the fall. Classes begin on Wednesday, September 5 and run through Saturday, December 1.
The two organizations are offering six different classes from introductory to upper intermediate levels to be held at The Nippon Club’s location in Midtown Manhattan (145 W. 57th Street). Check out the course descriptions to see which class is best suited for you by clicking here.
For non-native Japanese speakers who are taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) on Sunday, December 2, the Japan Foundation is conducting two information workshops at The Nippon Club. A session for those taking the N3 – N4 test is on Monday, August 27 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., with a session for N2 – N3 test takers at the same time on Tuesday, August 28. The Japan Foundation also announces its Conversation Café on Thursday, August 30 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Those studying the Japanese language can chat with native speakers in Japanese over a cup of Japanese tea, soft drinks, and snacks. Moderated by the Japan Foundation’s Japanese instructors and native speakers, Conversation Café allows participants to further their knowledge of the language and culture in a relaxed atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to refresh your memory, make new friends, and preview the JF Japanese Language Course. For more information and to RSVP click here.
