American Buddhist Study Center Holiday Benefit 2014

The American Buddhist Study Center is holding a holiday benefit in support of its programs and publications, including the recently released Rice Country, a history of the Japanese American experience by Stamford, Connecticut, resident Bun Yoshikami.

Guests can enjoy a sake tasting, Japanese food, entertainment and an art auction. There will be eighteen scrolls illustrating the life of Shinran Shonin, the founder of Shin Buddhism. His statue, which survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima during World War II, stands in front of the New York Buddhist Church.
