The Brooklyn Japanese American Family Association (BJAFA) will celebrate the year of the monkey Japanese style with mochitsuki, family crafts, traditional calligraphy, and New Year’s games. Entertainment includes the Kaoru Watanabe Taiko Center, a giant calligraphy performance by Taisan Tanaka, Japanese traditional dance, a Kendama Battle, and more. Enjoy a mouth-watering selection of Japanese food by Café Zaiya and alcohol for 21 and over at the Roulette bar.
