Sunday, February 7 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Queens Library – 41-17 Main Street, Flushing, Queens

The kimono represents more than 1,000 years of Japanese art and craftsmanship. The Queens Flushing Library hosts certified kimono expert Emi Kikuchi of Kimono Experience, who will lead a production introducing different styles of kimono and explaining how they are worn and how to move gracefully in them. Learn the techniques for dressing in kimono with an obi- tying demonstration by Yukari Mizuuchi. Guests will have the opportunity to see three different styles of spectacular wedding kimono.

Some of the models are college students studying the Japanese language, and yours truly will be one of the emcees.
