Following last season’s sold-out performance, the innovative Classical Jam returns with Sumie Kaneko on shamisen and shakuhachi Grand Master James Nyoraku Schlefer. Enjoy improvisations and new music combining shamisen, shakuhachi, flute, violin, viola, cello, and percussion. Don’t miss the world premiere of Jamu II by James Nyoraku Schlefer and music by Rick Bates, Jennifer Choi, Justin Hines, Kineah Seiho, and Calvin Solomon, who will have the world premiere of “Chasing Time: Movements I and II.”
