New York’s legendary Jazz club The Blue Note presents The East Meets West Jazz Brunch on Easter Sunday, April 16, featuring trumpeter Shunzo Ohno.

One of the most versatile and influential trumpeters in modern jazz, Ohno has won global awards for his compositions, music for film, and recordings. Known for using elements of traditional jazz, hip hop, and melodies from Japan in his music, he creates a tapestry that is distinctly Shunzo Ohno in his performances, which inspire and unite audiences globally. Shunzo has brought together his long-time colleagues: Ira Coleman (bassist for Sting and Herbie Hancock), Gene Jackson (drummer for Herbie Hancock and Dave Holland), Tabla master Ray Spiegel, and pianist David Berkman for these special brunch performances.

Sets are at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Admission includes the music charge plus brunch, making it the best value in NYC!
