Bamboo Art in Bamboo Crafts

Friday, August 30 until Sunday, September 8 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (Thursday through Sunday only)

J-COLLABO – 300 7th Street, Brooklyn

Admission: Free

J-COLLABO presents a solo exhibition by Takayuki Shimizu, a talented young bamboo artist from Beppu. Don’t miss out this rare opportunity to see phenomenal bamboo art outside of Japan.

Bamboo Basket-Making Workshop

Shimizu will conduct a bamboo basket-making workshop on the following days:

  • Saturday, August 31
  • Sunday, September 1
  • Saturday, September 7
  • Sunday, September 8

Each two-hour workshop will begin at 2:00 p.m.
Suggested donation: $30

Children are welcome to participate, but those ages 8 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
