Edible Art Performance by Shu Ohno x Miyuki Hyodo

Friday, July 14 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Usagi NY – 163 Plymouth Street, Brooklyn

Admission: Free

Sculptor Shu Ohno and Japanese confectionery artisan Miyuki Hyodo present a collaborative edible art performance that celebrates the seasons and the fleeting nature of life at coffee shop/gallery space Usagi NY.

Using Hyodo’s traditional plant-based confections as a canvas and liquid agar (sweet seaweed jelly) as paint, Shu Ohno will create a spur-of-the-moment artwork, which everyone will be invited to eat at the end of the performance.

The dessert will be paired with hot Japanese tea and sake.
