About Fukushima Sake

Sake producers representing Fukushima Prefecture in northeastern Japan have won the most Gold Prizes at the century-old Japan Sake Awards eight years in a row. The Fukushima Trade Promotional Council has been holding free Fukushima sake tasting events at retail stores in New York to introduce award-winning brands to sake fans outside of Japan.

About the Event

Kuraichi, a Japanese sake and spirits shop located in Brooklyn’s Japan Village, will host the next event. Attendees will enjoy sampling three different brands from three different breweries based in Fukushima.

  • Poochi Poochi Sparkling – Suehiro Brewery
  • Yokikana Junmai Ginjo – Nagurayama Sake Brewing
  • Kinpou Yamahai Shizenshu – Niida-Honke

Tasting session participants will receive a 20% discount for Fukushima sake purchased during event hours (while supplies last).

Tickets are free, but you must register. Please visit the Fukushima Trade Promotional Council’s  Eventbrite page.
