Broadway between W. 93rd and W. 94th Streets
What better way to enjoy a crisp autumn day than to spend it at Japan Block Fair?
Japan Block Fair aims to introduce New Yorkers to the variety in Japanese culture by hosting street fairs at various times throughout the year. The final Japan Block Fair of 2015 takes place on Sunday, October 18.
As always, there will be Japanese street food, prepared by some of the best vendors in NYC. Wasan, Uminoie, Hakata TonTon, Ramen Burger, and Karl’s Balls are some of the booths you can’t miss.
Stock up on fall tenugui from wuhao new york; check out the T-shirts by Sakura Creations, which are inspired by the Japanese concept of elegance, or miyabi, an aesthetic that draws on the subtle beauty found in nature; and marvel at the kawaii Japanese-made baby and children’s clothing and accessories from MiZUDaMA.
Cosplaying is encouraged, so bring your family and friends and explore this extraordinary cultural event all day long. With a wide range of Japanese street food, arts, crafts, services, and performances, there is plenty to do and see for everyone!
