Former Kajitsu Executive Chef Joins Brooklyn Kura for Special Dinner Pairing

Brooklyn Kura Dinner Pairing with Michelin-Starred Chef Hiroki Odo

Thursday, May 31 at 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Brooklyn Kura – 68 34th Street, Brooklyn

Admission: $130

New York’s first sake brewery, Brooklyn Kura, teams up with acclaimed chef Hiroki Odo for a one-night-only sake pairing tasting dinner at the brewery’s industrial-chic space in Industry City, Brooklyn. The tasting will be a sneak peek of the bar offerings from Chef Odo’s upcoming restaurant concept, odo | HALL (opening soon!).

Chef Odo and Brooklyn Kura share a passion for blurring the lines between Japanese traditions and American experimentation, bringing their creations together for this special evening. Prepared by Chef Odo, formerly the executive chef at Michelin-starred Kajitsu, the special five-course tasting dinner will showcase seasonal and local New York ingredients thoughtfully crafted with his Japanese-inspired flair. Each course will be paired with Brooklyn Kura’s American craft sake, which is produced on-site at the Industry City brewery using four deceptively simple ingredients: American-grown rice, koji, Brooklyn water, and yeast.

Brooklyn Kura’s resident sake sommelier, Sam Barickman, will be pouring the brewery’s signature offerings, plus a few special surprises and tap room exclusives, including sake served at various points during the fermentation process.

There will be two dinner seatings, at 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., and tickets are $130 per person with sake pairing.
