Acclaimed chefs Yael Peet and Elena Yamamoto—previously of Fort Greene’s beloved eatery, Karasu—are teaming up with NYC’s first and only craft sake brewery, Brooklyn Kura, to host a pop-up tasting dinner and after party on Wednesday, July 31.
This one-night-only event will offer a sneak peek of dishes from Yael and Elena’s new restaurant concept Fury’s (opening in early 2020) and will celebrate their love for both Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine and culture. Taking place at Brooklyn Kura’s chic taproom in Industry City, the five-course meal will feature cuisine from the duo’s new eatery with complex and refreshing glasses of craft sake, curated by co-founder Brian Polen and his team.
- Antipasti, melon, heirloom tomato, and cured meats
- Gazpacho w/ sansho peppercorn and Kaffir lime oil
- Sake steamed clams and mussels
