Hakkaisan Brewery and Uogashi Sushi Restaurant are having a special collaboration, Hakkaisan Sake Week, in the East Village. From February 20 through 25, Uogashi will feature four different selections of Hakkaisan sake offered by the glass or the bottle for guests to enjoy at the temperature of their choice. One of the selections is “Kowagura” Junmai Daiginjo, a rare and difficult-to-find ultra-premium sake.

On February 23 Hakkaisan Brand Ambassador/Sake Samurai Tim Sullivan will be a guest sommelier for an evening to share the true craft of Hakkaisan’s vision. Sullivan runs the essential sake website UrbanSake.com.

Uogashi’s Executive Chef Mr. Nakajima, a strong supporter of Hakkaisan for more than 20 years, leads a team that prides itself on crafting the best quality sushi paired with the best quality sake. The result is an authentic Japanese culinary experience.

Seating will be limited, so please book reservations through Uogashi by calling 212.253.0626.
