Broadway musical Pippin opened on April 25, and Hiro Sake hosted the post-event celebration. It was a star-studded evening with luminaries of both stage and screen in attendance, including Ricky Martin, Debra Messing, Jane Krakowski, Martin Short, Victor Garber, and Ben Vereen, who starred in the original Broadway production that premiered in 1972.

One of the show’s producers is Carlos Arana, the co-founder and CEO of Hiro Sake, makers of super-premium Japanese sake from Niigata Prefecture. The award-winning brand brought the show’s carnival theme to life, with models in circus-like dress serving signature Hiro Sake cocktails.

A coming-of-age tale about a royal heir on a journey of self-discovery, Pippin is nominated for ten Tony awards, including Best Revival, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical (Patina Miller), Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical (Terrence Mann), and Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Roled in a Musical (Andrea Martin).
