Japan Flood Disaster Relief Fundraising Event
Sunday, July 29 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The New York Japanese-American Lions Club Charities, Inc. with support from the Japanese American Association of New York (JAANY), Japanese American Social Services, Inc. (JASSI), Made in Japan Inc., MY EVENT USA INC., SAPPS, and Yuko Ikeshita, will hold a fundraiser for Japan flood disaster relief at JAA Hall. Your $40 donation includes drinks and food provided by SAPPS Executive Chef Mitsuru Kita.
A full lineup of entertainment is in store for the afternoon, with performances by shakuhachi player Adam Robinson, singer/songwriter Asumi Yazawa, singer/dancer Kashimi Asai, Rakugo comic storyteller Katsura Sunshine, singer MAYA, singer SHOWJI, violinist Sumiko Tajihi accompanied on piano by Hiromi Abe, singer Yoko Yamashita, and pianist Yurika Mihara.
Lions Club Charities has volunteers on the ground in the stricken area of Western Japan that saw heavy downpours earlier this month, which triggered flooding and mudslides, resulting in the destruction of roads, homes, and businesses and the deaths of more than 200 people.
