Taste, smell and experience true Japanese culture at Japan Week 2018. Organized by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), Japan Week is now in its seventh year. The four-day exhibit celebrates traditional Japan as well as modern Japanese culture, showcasing the country’s cuisine, technology, and traditions that explain why Japan is a premiere travel destination.
This year’s theme is 3D Trick Art, a phenomenon in Japan. (To learn about the Tokyo Trick Art Museum in Odaiba, click here.) Visitors stand in front of a large-scale interactive work of art that creates the illusion that the objects in the backdrop exist in real life. Japan Week organizers encourage visitors to take the ultimate selfie and participate in their photo contest. Follow @japanweek on Instagram and post your 3D Trick Art photo using the hashtag #JapanWeekNYC2018. Ten lucky participants will win a Fuji Film Instax camera and other merchandise from Japan Week’s sponsors and exhibitors.
