The Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles is coming to New York to host a reception at the Museum of Chinese in America. Learn about the exciting work of JANM directly from its newly appointed President and CEO, Ann Burroughs, who will be on hand to share news about the museum’s mission and future plans. Beloved actor, activist, and social media icon George Takei serves on JANM’s Board of Trustees and was the subject of JANM’s most recent exhibition, New Frontiers: The Many Worlds of George Takei.

Guests will have complimentary access to MOCA’s exhibition Sour, Sweet, Bitter, Spicy: Stories of Chinese Food and Identity in America, which closes on Sunday, September 10.

Business casual attire is encouraged.
