Last week the Michelin Guide New York City 2014 was released, and of the 67 restaurants that received stars, thirteen are Japanese. A Michelin star is a symbol of fine dining, and these Japanese restaurants reflect quality and mastery of technique in the culinary world.
The seven three-star restaurants are the same as last year, including Masa, the ultimate sushi establishment run by chef Masa Takayama. Two Japanese restaurants received two stars, while ten received one.
