The latest issue of Chopsticks NY features an interview with Noriko Hino, founder and Executive Director of NY de Volunteer, a non-profit organization dedicated to harnessing the volunteer power of Japanese and Americans in New York. Hino was awarded a letter of appreciation from the Japanese government for her positive contributions to the community.
The Japan Cabinet Secretariat’s National Policy Unit selected Japanese people who are active around the world to honor in its Global Messengers of “Japan” Project. Hino was one of more than 60 recipients who are making a difference in the international community and who are spreading a positive image of Japan throughout the world. Hino is also part of a video produced by Columbia University Business School Executive Education in which she discusses her participation in Programs in Social Enterprise.
