Ambassador Kanji Yamanouchi will host another installment of Friday Night Live at his residence this Friday. This time, the concert will have a classical feel.

Join the live stream for a performance by renowned pianist Junko Ichikawa with special guest Liang Wang on the oboe.

About Junko Ichikawa

Junko Ichikawa was born in Obihiro, Hokkaido, and began playing and studying piano at the age of four. At age fifteen, Ichikawa made her U.S. concert debut, playing Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 with the Obihiro Reed Orchestra in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has performed as a soloist with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra (Tokyou), as well as with the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra, the Wiener Residenz Orchester, and many others.
