The New York Budo Association presents an introductory class into Ryushin Shouchi Ryu. Ryushin Shouchi Ryu is a school of kobudō, or ancient martial arts. The practice specializes in iaijutsu, or quick-draw sword art. The skills closely resemble the fighting techniques of samurai.

About the New York Budo Association

The New York Budo Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the study and preservation of Iaido and other traditional Japanese martial arts. Budo means “the martial way,” and Iaido is the drawing of the Japanese sword.

NYBA’s dojo is located at 500 8th Avenue, 12th floor, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are holding classes online.
