Soul of Sake – Lounge and Learn
Friday, May 1 at 9:00 p.m.
Sake Discoveries presents another virtual Soul of Sake: Lounge and Learn!
Miss Sake USA Jessica Joly is the host of this deep dive into the roots of Japanese sake alongside some old school American soul.
So far Joly’s informative and fun-filled session have featured Kosuke Kuji, president of Nanbu Bijin in Iwate Prefecture, Sotaro Kinoshita of Amabuki Shuzo in Saga Prefecture, and international sales rep Hiro Ogawa of Ishikawa Prefecture’s Tengumai. Friday’s featured brewery will be closer to home: Brooklyn Kura.
Learn about the taste, profile, and secret insider information. Joly will share the history behind the brewery and discuss Brooklyn Kura’s signature sakes, #14 and Blue Door. Participants will be able to ask questions. This is a unique opportunity to have a conversation with a sake producer.
These Lounge and Learn sessions on Zoom take the place Joly’s regular, physical Monday night happy hour gig at SakaMai in the Lower East Side, which is on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you don’t want to drink, no problem! Join for the knowledge and the fun. Don’t miss the best sake happy hour around! Pull up a seat, and get ready for Soul of Sake – Lounge & Learn.
