Mar Creation Presents a U.S.-Japan Live Streaming Showcase on Veeps

Hollow Mellow Tokyo Live Vol. 1

Saturday, February 27 at 10:00 p.m. EST

Live Streaming through Veeps

Admission: $5

Mar Creation, Inc., a New York-based creative entertainment services agency, joined two music clubs in Tokyo, Japan—Shinjuku WALLY and Shinjuku ROTT—to stream a live show this Saturday. These three companies are using ticketed live streaming platform Veeps to present Japanese Gothic Lolita band Hollow Mellow. Veeps is a fast-growing enterprise and has recently been acquired by Live Nation, the world’s leading live entertainment company.

The original producer of WALLY and ROTT was RUIDO, which was one of Tokyo’s oldest live houses, or music clubs, and was established in 1972. WALLY provides the streamlined sound/lighting system, and ROTT brings the tech-savvy broadcasting capability.

Mar Creation is aiming to introduce Japanese music and artists directly from the stage in Tokyo to American audiences via Veeps. The showtime is 10:00 p.m. EST / 7:00 p.m. PST on Saturday, February 27 and 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28 in Japan so that viewers in both countries can enjoy the same show simultaneously. An archive of the concert will be available to view through Sunday, March 6, 2021.

About Hollow Mellow

Hollow Mellow is a Tokyo-based, Japanese Gothic Lolita band led by phenomenal vocalist Iruma Rioka. The band debuted as a “dark fairytale artist.” Rioka composes Hollow Mellow’s music, using dark and gothic, fantasy and fairytale, classical and antique melodies.

In September 2014, Hollow Mellow held their first performance as an official unit, and in December they released their self-cover album, Reincarnation.

Hollow Mellow made their U.S. debut at Tokyo In Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in July 2015, following the release of their full-length album, Cinema Fantasia. They returned to the U.S. in the following year with a performance at Sabaku Con in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The band released their album Enchanted in 2017. The title track features the charismatic Lolita icon Misako Aoki in the music video. Following an appearance at NekoCon (Hampton, VA) in 2019, Hollow Mellow’s music video for “The Red Shoes” premiered on YouTube in 2020. Rioka is working on a new release for 2021.

Saturday’s concert will mark the first time Hollow Mellow will perform their original songs to American audiences online. For more information about the band, please visit their website.
