"Mr. Pink" in NYC for Premiere of "Old Actor Z"

Prolific director Yutaka Ikejima is back in the city for the New York premiere of Old Actor Z, which will screen at the Producers Club Theaters and Bar. He broke in as an actor in the 1970s with Shuji Terayama’s Tenjo Sajiki theater troupe and made his directorial debut in 1988. He is considered one of the most successful filmmakers in Japan’s pink film genre and has earned the nickname “Mr. Pink” for acting in more than 500 films and directing dozens more.

Old Actor Z was screened and well received at the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival.

Ikejima and actress Riri Koda will be in attendance and participate in a reception after the showcase screening.

Afterward, there will be a screening of Ikejima’s film A Call Girl’s Double Life at 9:30 p.m. This film is restricted to 18 years and older.
