RESOBOX, a Japanese art gallery dedicated to providing space to artists who create, preserve, and develop Japanese arts, is holding a special open house in its new studio space in Long Island City. It will be a full day of demonstrations, workshops, and performances in the areas of karate, manga drawing for children, Nihon-buyo (traditional Japanese dance), Iaido (samurai sword), Jodo (stick fighting), crochet and amigurumi (crocheted or knitted stuffed toys), Japanese language, and Japanese ink painting.

Each attendee will receive a coupon for one free session in any class. The first ten children will receive special Japanese gifts.
