Valentine’s Day Dessert Tasting

Friday, February 14 at 9:00 p.m.

Koneko – 26 Clinton Street (between E. Houston and Stanton Streets)

Admission: $55 per person

We all know that Valentine’s Day is a romantic evening made just for lovers, but why not add a touch of sweetness and fluff? Koneko, America’s first Japanese cat cafe, is hosting a Valentine’s Day Dessert Tasting, which is sure to make date night purrfect.

Koneko’s head chef, Benjamin Kalb, who trained at Bouley and Momofuku Noodle Bar, curated this irresistible, après-dinner event, which will feature a three-course dessert tasting menu. You’ll also meet their 18 adoptable kitties, who will give you eternal furry love.

They will also be offering a special tea and sake menu for the event. Please note that they will not have a vegan tasting option.

The admission price includes Koneko’s dessert tasting, boundless cat cuddles, and a guarantee to woo your date.

There are two seatings, but this event is so popular that the 7:00 p.m. tasting is already booked solid! So snag your 9:00 p.m. reservation now! Please visit Koneko’s website.

America’s First Cat Cafe

The Lower East Side cat cafe is partnered with Anjellicle Cats Rescue, pulling cats from the shelter and giving them two Cattery spaces and an outdoor Catio in which to roam freely. Guests enjoy beer, sake, and wine as well as bites from Koneko’s Japanese-inspired menu. They can eat and drink in the separate cafe or cuddle with the kitties in the Cattery, and if/when they fall in love, they can adopt the kitties. It’s a win-win for everyone!

Follow Koneko’s entertaining Instagram account, and if you’re looking for a kitty to adopt, head to the Cattery!
