Tsukinoi Week in New York
Now through Monday, October 12
Celebrate Tsukinoi’s debut in New York with tastings at popular sake bars throughout the city. Tsukinoi Brewery, known as the sea-breeze brewery located in Ibaraki prefecture on Japan’s Pacific coast, has a 150-year history and recently entered the U.S. market.
On October 3 brewery executives exhibited their products at New York Mutual Trading’s Japanese Food and Restaurant Expo, the largest showcase of Japanese food, sake, and specialty supplies for professionals. Members of the food industry and the media were able to enjoy samples of Tsukinoi’s line of organic sake. This week the general public is invited to area restaurants and sake bars to learn more about Tsukinoi.
You can enjoy a tasting of Ginjyo “Tai Yori,” which will debut in New York, as well as Organic Junmai “Nanotsuki,” Junmai Muroka Nama Genshu “Tsukinoi Gohyakumangoku,” and Sparkling Sake “Aqua,” which are not yet available in the U.S.
At Wasan, Yopparai, and Hi-Collar, you can enjoy a flight set specially selected by the brewer, and at Sushi You you will have a complimentary glass upon ordering food. The brewer will go around to these locations to introduce the sakes directly to you. Quantity is limited.
