Zac Zinger, an award-winning composer and musician, will have his debut album release concert at Jazz at Kitano.

Fulfillment is a compilation of Zinger’s original music on shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute) and saxophone performed with his progressive jazz quartet. Joining Zinger will be Sharik Hasan on piano, Adam Neely on bass, and Luke Markham on drums.

About Zac Zinger

A 2011 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music, Zac Zinger holds degrees in Jazz Composition and Film Scoring. He is a four-time recipient of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award (2012-2015).

In 2017, Zinger had a five-month residency in Tokyo on a grant from the Asian Cultural Council. There he studied shakuhachi and its traditional music under masters Kinya Sogawa, Keisuke Zenyoji, and Akihito Obama.

You can hear him performing woodwinds on various video games such as Final Fantasy XV: Assassin’s Festival and Street Fighter V, among others. He has also composed music for Mobile Suit Gundam: Side Stories and jazz arrangements of CAPCOM’s Monster Hunter.
