Japan Village is hosting a night market in its courtyard this Friday. Go for a vibrant evening of refreshing beer, food, live performances, and vendors.

Ayano Nakamura
Set I at 4:30 p.m. | Set II at 5:15 p.m.

Ayano Nakamura began writing songs and performing with bands in her teens, launching her live music career at an early age. After studying jazz at Mesar Haus Music School in Tokyo, she moved to New York in 2015 to pursue her musical journey. She is currently majoring in Jazz Vocal Performance at CCNY.

Fune Kitagawa
Set from 6:00 p.m. until 6:15 p.m.

Fune Kitagawa is an artist based in New York. Known for performing songs across a wide range of genres, she is fluent in Japanese, English, and Chinese. In addition to singing, she is a multi-instrumentalist who is dedicated to exploring diverse forms of musical expression.

Mari Aoki
Set I at 6:25 p.m. | Set II at 7:20 p.m.

Calling all J-Pop fanatics yearning to hear the soundtracks of your heartbreaks and core memories! Take a deep dive through your beloved eras of Femme J-Pop brought to you by Mari Aoki, pop R&B vocalist with Shun Lopez on cajon and Tomoya Ogawa on guitar. You’ll hear your City Pop favorites of the ‘80s, the edge of modernity with ‘90s/Y2K hits from Utada Hikaru and Sheena Ringo, some 2010s classics of Nishino Kana and Aiko, as well as Aoki’s original songs in Japanese.
